Bountiful Baskets

Usually, when something sounds too good to be true, it is.

Usually, but not always.

At least not when it comes to saving crazy money on produce. I just paid $19.50 for all of this:

And next time it'll only cost $16.50. That's about $50 worth of produce there, folks!! I got corn, avocados, kiwis, tomatoes, cucumbers, apples, oranges, lettuce, spinach, oranges, a cantaloupe, and red onions. (I also had the option of buying bread-- at similarly great prices)

Crazy! Crazy, I tell you!

And because I like you so much, I'll share my secret: it's a food co-op called
Bountiful Baskets.

You pay your contribution ($19.50 your first time, and $16.50 after that) by Wednesday night, and then on Saturday morning you show up at your pick up point and get your produce. It's very well organized and totally awesome. They're able to get such insanely low prices because they have $0 overhead-- it's all run by volunteers.

Here's the catch: It's not available everywhere. Bountiful Baskets operates only in Arizona, Utah, Idaho and Washington-- check
their website for pick up points.

Love your Blog Steph - Beautiful bounty! Farmer's markets are getting more common in many places. Some work similar to a co-op. Pay a membership = get big box full of goodies. Some community gardens have store front with great prices. Everyone check around your area!

Thank you so much. I loved it. I have so much produce I am so excited. I have been so frustrated trying to eat better and feeling like I was spending a lot of money. I got the bread to try just for fun and because we have family coming into town and I am not making bread for all of them :) I would rather make pies :)

try greenbeeco-op.com
i tried BB a few times and wasn't to impressed. My daughter came home with this fundraiser for her school and it was for the Bee Box $18.50 for a HUGE box of all good veggies and fruits. plus my daughters school get part of that cost for each box sold. Any community group can become a host site. All orders are done online and the host site picks which days you can pick up. So instead of 5am on your day off, you can grab your kid and your box all in one stop. go to www. greenbeeco-op.com to order...what a great way to really help out our communities...someone was a thinker
